About US-Philippines Society
The US-Philippines Society, based in Washington, DC, is a private sector initiative dedicated to fostering meaningful interaction and understanding between the United States and the Philippines through comprehensive research and strategic programming. Since opening its Washington, D.C. offices on May 1, 2012, the organization has served as a vital mechanism for elevating the Philippines' profile in the United States and strengthening bilateral relations across multiple sectors.
The Society operates across diverse areas of mutual interest and benefit, including security and regional stability, trade and investment opportunities, tourism development, environmental cooperation, historical preservation, educational exchange, and cultural understanding. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan, and independent organization, the Society conducts both basic and applied research that informs policy discussions and public awareness at a critical time when U.S. policy interests are increasingly focused on East Asia.
The organization's programming highlights today's Philippines while building on the rich and longstanding historical ties between the two nations. By bringing this unique relationship into the 21st century, the Society contributes to Philippines-US relations through events, forums, and initiatives that engage corporate partners, individual members, and the growing community of Filipino-Americans pursuing successful professional careers. The Society's work is sustained through donor generosity and active member support, enabling it to develop and execute programs that benefit both the American public and the people of the Philippines.
