Filipino-Canadian Association of Saskatchewan (FILCAS) Inc. is the registered nonprofit umbrella organization dedicated to serving the Filipino-Canadian community throughout Saskatchewan. Based in Saskatoon, SK, FILCAS provides comprehensive support through four core service pillars: Inform, Educate, Foster, and Advocate. The organization offers settlement pathfinding assistance, consular outreach services, and connects community members to Filipino-owned and Filipino-led businesses and organizations across the province. FILCAS promotes and preserves Filipino culture through signature annual events including Kalayaan Philippines Independence Day celebrations in June and the Saskatoon Folkfest Philippines Pavilion in August. The organization supports cultural education through partnerships with the Filipino Heritage School and local Filipino seniors groups, while featuring the acclaimed Kumintang Folkdance Ensemble (KFE) as an official cultural ambassador. Beyond cultural programming, FILCAS advances professional and personal development through educational sessions designed to enhance knowledge and skills within the Canadian context.
