Filipino American Physicians of Washington

Filipino American Physicians of Washington (FAPWA) is a nonprofit professional organization based in Auburn, WA, dedicated to advancing healthcare excellence across Washington State. Since its founding in 1992, FAPWA has grown to represent approximately 200 Filipino-American physicians practicing throughout the state, from the Seattle-Tacoma-Olympia corridor to underserved rural areas including the Kitsap Peninsula, Chehalis, Vancouver, Yakima, the Tri-Cities, Walla Walla, and Spokane. The organization's membership encompasses diverse medical specialties including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Pulmonary Medicine, Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. FAPWA physicians also collaborate with ancillary healthcare services such as physical therapy, nursing, and social services. The organization is committed to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct while enhancing academic excellence among its members. FAPWA actively engages in voluntary charitable service both locally and internationally, positioning Filipino-American doctors as leaders and catalysts for positive change within their communities. With concentrated physician presence in King, Pierce, and Thurston Counties, FAPWA continues to strengthen the healthcare landscape across Washington State by fostering camaraderie, professional development, and collaborative practice among its distinguished membership.
