Filipino-American Association of Kitsap County

The Filipino-American Association of Kitsap County serves the Bremerton, WA community as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Philippine heritage while fostering cross-cultural understanding. With nearly a century of continuous service since its establishment in 1921, the organization provides comprehensive cultural education programs that celebrate Filipino traditions, history, and diverse heritage to both Filipino-American and broader community members. The association actively engages in community development initiatives, having participated in significant civic projects including city beautification efforts and the establishment of Bataan Park in Bremerton, a memorial honoring those lost during World War II. The organization sponsors scholarship programs supporting educational advancement and maintains active involvement in humanitarian and civic affairs at both local and international levels. Representing approximately 8,000 Filipino-Americans in Kitsap County, the association works to strengthen Filipino-American relations while building meaningful connections between Filipino and non-Filipino residents. Through cultural celebrations, community partnerships, and educational outreach, the Filipino-American Association of Kitsap County continues its mission of uniting persons of Filipino heritage and promoting greater understanding of Philippine culture and history throughout the Bremerton area and beyond.
